TradeWinds: Asian LNG buyers eye home-grown supplies as Middle East conflict rolls on

LNG buyers in the Asia-Pacific region are reassessing their options and looking increasingly towards regional supply as the war in the Middle East continues to disrupt exports.
In a webinar focused on the value and risks of LNG term supply to the Asia-Pacific region, Poten senior LNG analyst of business intelligence Irwin Yeo said buyers are looking at Middle Eastern LNG supply reliability and accessibility.
Singapore-based Yeo said projects in Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Papua New Guinea, Australia and Canada have been seeing increased LNG sales, contract discussions and approaches from buyers.
