An accelerated growth trajectory was spotlighted in President Bush’s State of the Union Address for the US ethanol fuel program. From an already mandated blending of nearly 500,000 barrels per day into gasoline by 2012, Mr. Bush proposed catapulting ethanol’s inclusion to 2.2 million barrels per day by 2017.
