  • U.S. paving wound down late in the week due to the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
  • Retail asphalt and flux pricing holds steady on the East Coast this week.
  • East Coast asphalt wholesale pricing firmed, with flux barge pricing flat to close out May.
  • Midwest wholesale asphalt prices firmed somewhat for barge sales. Rail prices firmed mostly within the assessed range.  Flux prices were unchanged with supply improving.
  • Midwest rack selling prices were adjusted slightly higher in only a few locations. Posted/reference prices climbed in selective markets late in the week.
  • Gulf Coast retail asphalt and flux price ranges were all unchanged this week.
  • Asphalt barge prices on the Gulf Coast firm slightly, with flux barge pricing unmoved.
  • Rocky Mountain rack selling price assessments were mostly status quo.
  • Rockies wholesale prices were unchanged, with June prices reported next week.
  • West Coast markets were steady for both Pacific Northwest and California markets.
  • In western Canada, both retail and wholesale asphalt markets were steady this week.
  • In eastern Canada, both Quebec and Ontario market prices were static this week.
  • Oil prices increased sharply this week for all benchmark grades.
