  • East Coast retail asphalt prices slipped in some locations, with flux prices increased.
  • Wholesale East Coast asphalt prices are flat, with flux barge prices moving up.
  • Most Midwest retail prices were steady this week—but some northern areas firmed.
  • Midwest wholesale asphalt markets headed sharply higher for May barges and rail supply.
  • Gulf Coast retail asphalt prices mostly steady, with flux prices rising for the week.
  • Asphalt barge pricing increases slightly, with the flux barge range also up on the Gulf Coast.
  • Rockies retail ranges were unchanged in most areas.
  • Rocky Mountain wholesale prices were flat to slightly higher depending upon supply source.
  • West Coast retail prices firm slightly in southern California, with most other areas static.
  • Asphalt retail/posted prices in western Canada are status quo. Alberta wholesale increases.
  • Quebec and Ontario asphalt selling and posted prices decreased this week.
  • Most oil prices declined this week. June WTI ended at $44.56, down $1.36 a bbl this week.
  • July Brent crude closes at $45.28 a bbl, down $1.98 for the week.
  • However, June Western Canadian WCS crude remains over $32 a bbl FOB Alberta, due to wildfires in the oil sands region of northern Alberta.
