QatarEnergy (QE) is in early negotiations with European buyers for long-term supply as Europe looks to reduce its reliance on Russian pipeline gas. At the same time, QE is offering unpriced term sheets to selected Asian buyers. These negotiations are separate to the ongoing North Field Expansion (NFE) talks where QE invited several key Asian buyers to take 5% equity in the proposed joint ventures.
