Iran Puts On Brave Front As Sanctions Bite

With an even more stringent round of United Nations sanctions beginning to bite, Iran is cutting back on its LNG aspirations and is refocusing on pipeline exports. Most discouraging to the country’s LNG export aspirations, the new sanctions passed in June have caused Germany’s Linde Group to withdraw from doing business in Iran. This could prove a fatal blow, since Linde was the last firm willing to provide technology critical to the building of planned liquefaction trains. Download here
