Indian LPG imports to grow at a slower rate on rising prices

Spot LPG traders are confident that Indian imports of LPG will remain strong this year despite a few setbacks in the domestic market. India imported around 12 MMt LPG in 2017 and the volume is expected to increase by about 5% in 2018 amid rising income and as expanded distribution channel boosts consumption; however, the growth rate has slowed year over year due to rising prices and increased domestic production.
