  • East Coast retail asphalt price assessments were mixed to begin May, with flux retail prices steady.
  • Wholesale asphalt prices on the East Coast were flat or firmer, with flux barge pricing unchanged.
  • Midwest wholesale prices were steady for barge and rail asphalt. Flux markets firmer for May supply.
  • Midwest rack market prices were mostly steady, with only a few changes and range adjustments.
  • Gulf Coast rack asphalt price ranges are mostly static, with some firming, while flux racks are steady.
  • Wholesale asphalt price assessments on the Gulf Coast firmed somewhat, with flux barge prices flat.
  • Rockies rack prices firmed in some northern areas and declined significantly in Arizona.
  • Rocky Mountain wholesale prices are assessed higher for May supply, with more reports received.
  • In West Coast, eastern Washington markets went up, while Seattle and Portland markets remained flat.
  • In California, San Francisco markets were lower, while Bakersfield prices moved higher. Alaska markets had a slightly lower price range this week.  Hawaii markets were flat.
  • Western Canada retail markets were flat, while wholesale prices moved higher this week.
  • In eastern Canada, Quebec posted prices were higher, with steady selling assessments. Ontario markets were flat.
  • Oil prices were down this week for all benchmark grades, by around 4-5 dollars per barrel.
