The Tourists Are Coming Can the Oil Be Far Behind?

In September 2003, the United Nations lifted its sanctions against Libya. Last month, the US lifted its 23-year-old travel ban on Libya and allowed four oil companies to negotiate business contracts in advance of possibly lifting trade sanctions. The US Congress is currently debating whether to reopen full trade between the two countries. Trade between Libya and the US has been illegal since 1986. Download here
