  • Monday’s Memorial Day holiday meant a slow restart to U.S. paving markets this week.
  • East Coast retail asphalt and flux prices were unchanged this week.    
  • Wholesale asphalt barge asphalt ranges narrow on the East Coast – Flux barge pricing was steadfast.
  • Midwest retail asphalt markets had some price increases late in the week. Selling ranges firmed modestly in some locations.  Flux markets were steady for May supply.
  • Wholesale asphalt prices were unchanged for paving and flux. Barges were limited by flooding and high river water levels.         
  • Gulf Coast retail asphalt and flux price ranges are assessed flat for the week.   
  • The wholesale asphalt assessment narrowed on the Gulf Coast – flux barges are status quo.
  • Rocky Mountain markets were static for wholesale and retail asphalt prices.    
  • West Coast asphalt prices were steady this last week of May.
  • Western Canada retail and wholesale asphalt prices are steady this week.
  • Eastern Canada markets are unchanged from previous week’s levels.
  • Crude prices declined sharply again, around $5 a barrel for most benchmark grades.
