9 Jan 2026: Top Reported Dirty Spot Charterers for 2025   It is that time of the year again.  Who comes out on top in our annual ranking of dirty spot charterers?  It is no surprise that Unipec remained the lead spot charterer in 2024, taking care of 15.4% of the reported fixtures.  However, below the Chinese behemoth, we saw some changes last year.  ExxonMobil leapfrogged Chevron and Shell to 2^nd place (up from 4^th), while Petrobras jumped from 9^th to 4^th on the strength of growing Brazilian production and exports.  The large oil traders also did well, with Trafigura showing particular strength (from 22^nd to 11^th).  Overall cargo volumes and fixtures were down slightly compared to 2024.
