Bi Webinar – Latin America’s Growing LNG Market | May 21
Natural gas demand is growing in Latin America. Expanding economies and rising standards of living paired with droughts that have depleted hydroelectric power reserves have boosted LNG imports to the region. And although the US has been a major supplier of LNG to Latin America, several proposed import and export projects could change trade patterns. Producing volumes from US feedgas, Mexico has already emerged as a LNG leading supplier to the Caribbean. And over the past six months, at least two Latin American LNG importers have signed long-term deals to secure volumes while others are seeking to do the same. Meanwhile, small-scale LNG projects are proliferating in the region, signaling that adoption will be incremental.
Join Poten’s upcoming LNG webinar on May 21 as Senior Analyst Sergio Chapa shares insights into the prospects for LNG in Latin America.

- Imports: Where is LNG demand growing? What are new and emerging markets?
- Exports: Which projects are best positioned to advance? And will they change trade patterns?
- Exploring Latin American LNG marketing strategies: Spot volumes vs long-term contracts – what works best for the region?
- Small is the new big: What’s behind the rise in small-scale LNG projects in Latin America? How is that trend expected to play out?
