Term Prices Hit Bottom in 2016; Rebound Seen in Coming Months

3 November 2016: Term LNG prices appear to have hit the lows for 2016, with prices for both oil- and gas-based contracts expected to rise over the Northern Hemisphere winter from historic lows seen earlier this year.

The latest prices to find a bottom seems to be term volumes indexed to Europe’s gas hubs, which fell to around the mid to high $3s/MMBtu in September.
