The following highlights are taken from this week’s Asphalt Weekly Monitor.

  • East Coast retail asphalt and flux pricing declined in most areas with assessments mostly lower.
  • Asphalt barge pricing on the East Coast is steady, with flux barge prices down for the week.
  • Midwest retail asphalt and flux pricing is steadfast, with price assessments unchanged.
  • Midwest asphalt and flux wholesale pricing was down for October, with assessed prices declining.
  • Gulf Coast/Mid-South asphalt and flux rack prices were lower this week.
  • Gulf Coast/Mid-South asphalt barges were down; asphalt, flux rail and flux barges were stable.
  • In Rocky Mountain markets, wholesale prices were lower, with mostly steady retail markets.
  • Most West Coast markets were steady this week, only one in PNW location had lower prices.
  • In western Canada, retail markets were flat but wholesale asphalt prices were lower this week.
  • In eastern Canada, selling prices were stable this week.
  • Benchmark WTI and Brent crude oil futures were lower this week.
