Crude tanker fixtures and cargo volumes have been battered by the war in the Middle East Gulf, according to figures released by Poten & Partners.
The US broker said the crisis has had a profound impact on oil and tanker markets.
“Effectively removing the [Middle East] Gulf from the tanker spot market for four months has dented fixture volumes,” it said.
