Lloyd’s List: Smaller Product Tankers See Spot Chartering Drop In 2008

“The number of clean spot market fixtures for product tankers dropped to 4,913 last year, down from 5,574 in 2007, writes [Lloyds List] Michelle Wiese Bockmann.  New York-based tanker broker Poten & Partners, which compiled the data, said the most dramatic fall occured in the smaller tanker sector of 25,000 dwt-37,500 dwt.”
