Giving Thanks

For many, the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States is characteristically a time for gathering with friends and family and hopefully reflecting upon a successful year. 2006 is certainly another year that has exceeded many peoples’ expectations. For those in the tanker industry, there is much for which to be thankful. The chart below shows the 2006 Poten Tanker Freight Index (PTI) and Poten Tanker Equity Index. Both of these indices are currently experiencing upward trends.
