  • Markets across Canada were closed Monday, October 8, for Canadian Thanksgiving.
  • Many areas in the southeast were affected by Hurricane Michael, especially FL and GA.
  • East Coast retail asphalt prices were mostly flat, with some areas easing – flux prices static.
  • East Coast asphalt and flux barge pricing declined this week.
  • Midwest retail asphalt markets slipped in upper Midwest areas, but were steady elsewhere.
  • Midwest wholesale asphalt prices held steady, amidst recent weakness. Flux was static.
  • Gulf Coast retail asphalt and flux prices are all unchanged for the week.
  • The Gulf Coast asphalt barge pricing softened, with flux barge prices unmoved.
  • Rocky Mountain area prices eased lower in a few locations, with others unchanged.
  • Rockies wholesale prices were steady, at the lower levels established for October material.
  • West Coast prices were mixed–firming slightly in California and Pacific Northwest easing.   
  • Western Canada selling prices and reported posted prices are unchanged again this week.
  • Selling assessments and posted price ranges are steady in both Quebec and Ontario.
  • Crude prices dropped this week for all the benchmark grades of crude oil.
  • Irving Oil’s New Brunswick refinery has explosion and fire (See Industry News).
