  • East Coast retail asphalt prices rose in some locations, with flux prices steadfast.
  • East Coast asphalt and flux barge ranges are flat for the start of September.
  • Midwest markets are assessed higher in some locations, with some price increases noted.
  • Midwest asphalt wholesale prices vary widely by supplier and location–barge range widens.
  • Gulf Coast retail asphalt prices were firmed in some areas, with flux pricing unchanged.
  • The Gulf Coast asphalt and flux barge ranges held steady for the week.
  • Rockies retail markets climbed in southern areas, with other spots rising as well. Wholesale markets were in an unchanged range, with some signs of less aggressive buying interest. 
  • California markets rose on tight supply. Most other West Coast market prices were steady.    
  • Selling and posted prices increased in some Provinces across western Canada. Alberta wholesale is in a higher and narrower range, with limited product.
  • Selling assessments and posted price ranges are unchanged in Quebec. Both selling and posted prices increased in Ontario for September.
  • Crude oil prices declined this week for all benchmark grades. Brent premium to WTI hit $9.
