Martin Massy

Martin joined Poten’s LNG & Natural Gas Consulting Group in London in March 2008. He has 29 years experience working in the energy industry. Between 1977 and 1993 he worked for the UK’s Central Electricity Generating Board and PowerGen in power station maintenance, generation planning, privatisation and business planning. He joined Bechtel Consulting in 1996 before transferring to Bechtel Power in 1997, where he was responsible for business development and, latterly, resolving contractual issues at two UK combined cycle power station construction sites. Martin worked for Nexant, an international energy consultancy company, from 2002 to 2008. He has international consulting experience in management, restructuring, privatisation, power generation and transmission planning, and commercial agreements and analysis in the electricity and gas industries. Martin holds a Masters degree in Engineering from Cambridge University, and an MBA (with Distinction) from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris, one of France’s “grandes écoles”.
