Blair MacIntyre

Blair joined Poten in 2003 as Shipping Technology Advisor responsible for the development and implementation of technical aspects on shipping projects. Prior to joining Poten, Blair was General Manager of Shipping Technology for Shell International Trading & Shipping Company Ltd. where his responsibilities included the acquisition of 17 new LNG carriers. Other previous positions held include Technical Director Shell Tankers (UK) Ltd, Manager LNG Marine Operations Shell Japan Ltd, Senior Operations Superintendent and Purchasing & Supply Manager Shell Tankers (UK) Ltd. Assignments included the specification and construction of oil and gas vessels, development of offshore floating oil & gas facilities and governance of marine technical and operational standards. During his time in Japan he was responsible for operation and technical maintenance of a large fleet of LNG vessels and development of longevity “evergreen” maintenance strategies. Former Vice President of the Society of International Gas Tanker & Terminal Operators (SIGTTO) and a member of Lloyds’s Register Technical Committee. Chartered Engineer licensed by the Engineering Council of UK.
